Filter Bar

The always-visible filter row — a subtle card surface, wrapping controls, a right-aligned Clear.

For filters a user should see and reach without an extra click — the always-open counterpart to CollapsibleFilterPanel. Pass labelled Select/MultiSelect fields as children; the bar only owns layout (wrapping on narrow widths) and the trailing Clear affordance.

Do / Don't

  • Do give every filter control its own accessible label (aria-label or a paired <Label>) — the bar itself doesn't label its children.
  • Do reach for CollapsibleFilterPanel instead when the filter set is large enough that it's worth hiding by default (e.g. a "Filter Seasons" block with five-plus fields) — this component is for a compact, always-visible row.
  • Don't put primary page actions in the actions slot — that's for filter-adjacent affordances (a saved-views menu, an export button tied to the current filter), not the page's main call to action.
